you bought the reeds used? if you did make sure there are no cracks and when you mount them in the cage make sure they fit tight in the cage(where it comes to a point it should be flush)

i bought them new, used em awhile them u did the cr reedcage mod, jsut sat in my toolbox

oh that would make sense they look used i dont know i had a pair of stock reeds that i used when mine broke that sat in a crate in another stock reed cage for probrably 5 years and one of the pedals on my reeds broke and i put those in and i have had no problems
