well there is a place near ardmore okla. called thompsons bay (pretty good, sand, mud, rocks, and more sand) and then there is bulcher near gainesville texas, plenty-O-rocks), there is also a place right off of I-35 near pauls valley on mile marker 74. and where is dover. i looked on a map and couldnt find it. i am 20 miles south of ardmore, in marietta. mabye we could ride together sometime. also there are plenty of people on here who are in our area. anyways KP

thompsons bay is at lake murray. it is a good place to ride without too much danger and the lake is awesome. bulcher (red river motorcycle trails) is also often called muenster, because you turn off of 82 at muenster to get there. it is huge, about 2500 acres of riding that borders the red river. there are rocky areas in the back, but plenty of sandy loam riding areas. it's a fun place to ride.

Dover is about 30 miles south of Enid, have you been to stillwater and rode on any of them tracks. there pretty cool. 59th and Douglas in the city is pretty awesome.

I live in Oklahoma near Claremore and I am looking for a good place to ride at that is close.

i live in north texas, and i have been to lake murray in ardmore ok, and muenster, they are both great places to ride, lots of trails and open sandy areas. if you like trail riding, check out beavers bend, ok. it is in south east oklahoma and has hundreds of thousands of acres, yes i think there is almost 450,000 acres to ride on. there is a beautiful lake and lots of cabins to rent that you can ride right out the door.

here's a link to many many places to ride.
http://www.occra.com/2002/2002race_locations.htm
There are 14 locations to ride without Cooperland because they aren't too friendly to quad riders and refuse to let us ride on their great two wheeler tracks.

Another Oklahoma location not mentioned here is Big Red ATV located between Tecumseh and Asher on highway 177. Turn East at the highway 59b junction at the Shamrock station. Turn right at the stop sign and you'll find the park on the left 1 mile south.
Lots of trails with plenty of canyons with hills to climb.
Fun place to ride.
The trails are well maintained and the owner is always there. He will even go riding with you!

I heard about this place in another forum. Do they have a MX track there?
Posted by: Brentman
No MX track at Big Red just lots of trails. We normally go there because there are trails for all of the family. Easy and "fun" trails.
There is a MX track at Sandhill ATV in Wynnewood at I35 exit #60 just south of Pauls Valley. The track is pretty big with some huge jumps. Also lots of room for going fast on the trails. 500 acres of room.

Posted by: DaleJrFan
Yeah, let me know, I live just north of the city so let me know when you get here. I am getting out of the military end of the month and have been looking at some jobs too. Theres lots of work here but nothing that pays $50 a hour to sit on my butt and ride the quad so I am going to keep looking.
Posted by: icecold_shee
u just found out i didnt get the maintenance programming job here in ardmore, it started out at 41,000, not bad for a first job, so im a start lookin for jobs up there, if i do get one, ill be hittin up ls a lot more
Posted by: DaleJrFan
what kind of job are you looking for? I have been searching for awhile now and had some offers but I am looking for that "perfect" job so I am being pretty picky.
