So i took out my 05 out today and took all of the plastics off, i cleaned my carb, changed my spark plug, and gave the whole bike a good cleaning..

now here is where it gets weird, for some reason i decided to start it without any of the plastics or anything on it, and it ran fine. but after i finished putting everything back together, it wouldnt start.
the neutral light would come on, but when i pushed the start button nothing happens.. unless the clutch is pulled in! but as soon as i shift into first or let out the clutch in neutral, it just dies.

i pulled everyhting back off but i cant find any wires that had come unplugged or anything. what the heck it going on with my 450?

your ground wire is off its by the battery had the same prob, then finally noticed it.
