Well just incase any one wants to kno I just clocked my 525 @ 69.9 Mph via GPS bone stock. I think I could have done around 72 but the taller tires may have had a factor.

Taller tires??

Posted by: natemxz600

74 mph on gravel road. jd jet kit and baffle removed. 6'2 190 lbs

Posted by: Evasiveone

When bone stock mine topped out at 76 mph by radar gun at 9880 RPM's. The wifes stock 2007 Predator 500 LE topped out at 73 mph by radar gun bone stock.

Yea a taller tire drops your top speed and the fact that im 6'5" 240 lbs dosent help either

Posted by: Arnj85

Im looking for some power adders dose anyone have any suggestions i kno jetting and pipes but what dose the vapor computer do and a big O ring???

Posted by: Ogener

a taller tire will increase your top speed but decrease your acceleration some. with a taller tire you engine can propel you farther on one rpm than it would with a shorter tire.

vapor computer is a computer that reads out speed, rmp's , miles and maybe a few other things. The "big o ring" your talking about must be for tuning the carb. If you want to add more power the 1st thing to look into is a pipe and filter and the required rejet of course.

i know mine smoked a v-force on pavement on top end. Between 70 & 75 is a safe guess.....It got there fast too!

Posted by: 3exrider23

wel i know my bone stock v force does 72

Posted by: RJP66F100

Arnj85, taller tires? I was meaning what size are you running.

Posted by: ericatv10

What about a 500?

Posted by: Live to ride

Ran the 04 TLD 500 this weekend on gps, with the stock 14 front sprocket it did 75, and with our new 15 front sprocket it did 79. It has a yoshimira pipe, vortext ignition and a k&n airfilter.

RJP66F100- I am running 21-12.00-9 Mud sharks i think there 4 ply whare I run theres alot of deep mud and slag hills so i need something with a little bite.

Posted by: LT250_JOE

IF THOSE TIRES ARE SLOWING YOU DOWN, THEY ARE EITHER WAY HEAVIER THAN STOCK OR GRABBING LIKE HELL. THEY LOOK LIKE THEY WOULD DO SOME MAD MUD ROOSTIN.

Posted by: exrider12

taller tires=more top speed

mud sharks=great tire
a couple of my friends had em, they bite in anything

Posted by: Arnj85

Oh there a little heavier! do you think that the fact that the A-Holes who put the tires on put the one on the left backwards will make a diff??? and (LT250_JOE)- what part of PA do you live in I live in west mifflin by the county airport....

Posted by: 18thecaptain

06' outlaw
78.3 mph ( g.p.s. )

18thecaptain:
Is that stock? If not what do i need to do to mine? I just bought a brand new 07 500 yesterday for $5,000 out the door at a place in hanover PA. SO i haven't had a chance to open it up yet since it isn't broken in yet.

Just the basics: Full exhaust from muzzy.(you could probly get buy with a slip on.) K&N,Jet the carb.,and Rev box. That got me about 74-75mph.
Sent the carb to N.R. for his carb. mod. WOW! NICE JOB BY DOUG. I should have put the money from dyno jet kit into the carb. mod. live and learn.
