OK...little confused.

I currently have SandSkate2's on my quad. The are listed at 20.5 inches tall.

I'm thinking about getting some 22" sand tires.

What will this do to my speed and gearing? 14-42 Create longer or shorter legs? I can wind out 5th on a wide open stretch and looking for 6th. Will it give me more or less low end?

If you put a bigger tire on your quad you will gain more topend. If your hunting for a 6th gear this would help the wanting of another gear. You will lose some bottom end power,but that may help with launches instead of spinning the **** out of em its gripping up and going. I would see if you could borrow a set of 22in sand tires and try em before you bought em.
