Hey folks,

Most of us are leaving from Cinci/N. KY area Fri at 3:00. Get there, set up, and ready to ride bright and early Sat and Sun. Anyone interested, everyone invited. There's a couple EX's going, couple Z's , few polaris', 2 4x4's, a blaster, and a few others. BRING IT!

Just got off the phone with Ranger Rick at LBL. He said it rained for about 2 hours today but has been overcast all day.

Posted by: Striker49

Posted by: z400ACDC

Next time. You need to meet BUBBA. They were a good group to ride with.

Posted by: Braff1

I had a good time riding with all you guys/gals. Let me know when you schedule your next group ride.

Dan

Posted by: z400ACDC

Dan, I think you are the one that helped me out on that hill. If so, thanks.

Posted by: Braff1

Welcome. That is why we ride in a group, to help out every now and then. (except when your chain comes off and the cold ones are out) zuki know what I mean.

Posted by: Castor-426ex

we need to get a huge ride scheduled....and everyone show up and stay on a sat and sun....Its a great place to ride...

Posted by:

Last time we scheduled a ride it was the first weekend of april,,weather wasn't too bad and we stayed at wrangler campground,,,it's about 5 minutes from turkeybay and you can drink beer there without gettin in trouble. I won't be stayin at turkeybay since ya can't drink...

Posted by: Zuki

Rico,

Just get one of the old school "Papsi" stickers to wrap around the can. Seriously though, we were able to drink there and nobody came around checking. There's also a nice bed and breakfast about 3 miles out. The name is the Round Oak Inn. Rooms are $59/night for 2 ppl and includes a full cooked breakfast every morning (that's 2 beds all you homos, plus a futon in every room). The guy there told me If we got at least 5 rooms he'd close the place off to the public. It has a huge party room area with big TV and satellite to watch all the games (and they said they dont mind if we get snot-spewing drunk *Rico*) I think the next big trip will probably be to Mountain Parkway, not 100 percent sure though. Tentative for the weekend B4 thanksgiving.

Posted by: Striker49

Let me know when you guys head out there again. As long as its good weather I will try to be there...but Im not draggin the pos back up there in the rain/snow/and whatever else. lol.

If I land a job though, I may possibly be able to get a new quad.

Posted by: Braff1

Zuki,
Let me know when you guys set a date for Mountain Pkwy. Also I need you to give me that web site again.

Well guys ya'll seem awful excited about riding different trails,,check out the thread I started about the hatfield McCoy trips planned for next year,,you don't wanna miss them. If ya liked LBL then you'll fall in love with hatfield.. I've already reserved camping for the April trip.. We had over 50+ quads there last time.. the thread's in this forum..:blah

hey im lookin for a place to ride nov. 9 - 10 - 11, we are down to Coal creek, St. Joes, or LBL, but does LBL close??? my dad thought they might close to atv's during the winter because of hunting??? so do they close or not? if so what dates?

Posted by: Zuki

I dont think they close. Pretty sure it's year round, the ohv park is separate from the hunting area as far as i know. Try www.lbl.org for more info.

Rico,

HM sounds great, but its a LONG way to april. Plenty of time to get some other good riding in. That is unless you're scared of the cold. Get enough sam adams in ya and it'll feel much warmer.

Im 99.99% sure it is open year round. And I know for a fact that its closed off to hunting...like anything would hang around for long with all the noise. But, during Deer/Turkey season everyone heads up there b/c the cant ride their local spots b/c of the hunters, etc etc.

Posted by: Braff1

Striker, when Sparta was open last year during deer season the deer migrated into the park. I guess they realized that the people on the quads would not shoot at them and that they could hear you coming before you seen them.

Posted by: Zuki

OK folks. Tentative plans are set for Nov. 15-17 at Livingston/S-Tree. I'll keep ya posted. It should be carved in stone by later today or tomorrow.

Posted by: Braff1

Zuki, I won't be able to make that date. I have my kids with me that weekend and will be running them everywhere. I'll keep in touch in case of any changes. The weekend of nov 9th or the 23 wwould work but I know you are planning on going down to SC for some turkey.

Dan
