Maybe have this stickied since there has been so many topics about it, and other people can post their clips of the pipe.

that one doesnt sound that good, in person they sound good. Loud but good and awesome power gains

Video clip with the quiet core installed. (97 decibels)

my HMF without quiet core is f'in loud.. i love it, it sounds a lot deeper than the first sound clip tho... i like it cuz its a low growl while idling then you mash on it and just the sound alone gets your adrenaline going...

Posted by: Ruby Soho

i figuired that one was kind of official since HMF themselfs did it

Posted by: ride hard man

IMO it sounds best when your in 3rd gear going real slow keeping the rpm's at a minimum. Then just getting all on it.

Posted by: atvhonda-rider

!!! DUDE i kno exactly what you're talkin about lol! i love that deep growl then you smash it and it friggin barks

Posted by: FoxHondaRider

I love the sound it makes when your just going along then pop the clutch and take off in a wheelie. Sounds amazing! The full sytem adds 2 more HP and like 1 lb of torque. Idk if it would be worth the extra $200+

im getting the full because i have a 440. slipon wont do anything for me

Posted by: 07250ex

the hmf in that movie sounds horrible i know for a fact they sound way better then that

and thats exactly what the slip on would be better for is full race quads trying to squeeze those extra 2 Hp or having a big bore it will make your power worth while

Stolen from another thread--this pretty much says it all (click it):

So you're telling me that a s/o would be better?

From what Ive read, the stock header flows fine for mildly modified engines. But when big bores come into play, it doesn't cut it, I have read that sometimes the slip on can hurt the power increase. That could be false information though

exactly...

Posted by: mikeB

I think ill just stick to my STOCK pipe on my PRAIRIE 360 and ride my FARMWHEELER!

AND get a front end fo mah KTM 65 and go BRAP BRAP over some jumpz

HAHAHA

so you agree that the full is better, for situations like mine?

Posted by: FoxHondaRider

I'm sorry I didnt catch that error I meant to say full sytem read what I said and replace slip on with full. Full is best for full race quads and big bores or someone trying to squezze the extra 2HP and 1lb of torque out. Slip on is best for the average joe

i agree that full systems are ultimately better yes, but i think if you're gunna spend money on the exhaust, why not get the full... so you're safe whether you stay more stock or you do end up going full out one day

god that video was amazing

Posted by: whc

there so loud I wont let let my grandson ride on my practice track with out the quite core, and its still loud with the core in. also we have two 300exs one stock one with the header pipe muffler opened air box kn filter and jetted for our area and side by side with equal riders its only marginaly faster, your money is better spent on suspension work, plus less sound means more riding areas stay open,. Mild Bill

Ruby,

I already made a sound clip thread, that has like a billion sound clips on it.

Not to sound like a dike.

Ill bump it up to the top

Posted by: tman12345

I made it a while back hoping it would get stickied, because so many noobs come on asking about exhausts without searching.

I didnt realize how old this thread is
