my 250ex has an hmf full system and a uni airfilter.i am running a 96 main with dynojet jet kit.my header near the exhaust port is turning blue nad im getting a good amount of popping on deceleration.i am wondering if i need a bigger jet or do i need to play with the air mixture/fuel screw

hey, i think it sounds like too much fuel and not enough air, so maybe u could try messing with fuel screw and mixture.

yea popping on decel. means your lean on your pilot circuit, so just back the air/fuel mixture screw out till it stops

yea ur lean , that means not enough gas to much air, try bupping up a size jet

so should i go to a 98 or a 100?and just back out the air/fuel screw?

if it idels fine dont even bother with the screw, lol i dont think i am even sure were it is lol
iv never messt with it

well if it runs fine from 3/4 to wide open its not your main jet,
if your only problem is popping in decel. and it runs good every where else throughout the powerband you just need to back out your mixture screw, which should be located under the side that goes into the engine, but dont quote me on that

also check for an exhaust leak, if you just added the exhaust make sure you got the header tight
an exhaust leak will cause it to pop as the revs come down
