I changed mine up to a 15 tooth. I will never change it back to the 14 tooth front sprocket, it runs way to good with this gearing. Mine was ordered from a dealer, I think you can get them from Rocky Mtn atv also just order one for a 525 dirtbike.

when you say you will never go back, because it runs so much better. whats better about it and for shear the KTM525 15 tooth sprocket will fit the outlaw 525

HOW WELL DOES IT PULL 5TH GEAR IN LOOSE TERRAIN(SAND/DIRT)?
HOW DOES IT FARE IN SLOW SPEED WOODS RIDING?
I SOMETIMES FEEL THE NEED FOR AN EXTRA GEAR ON TOP END, BUT IN VERY VERY TIGHT WOODS RIDING 1ST GEAR SEEMS A TAD TALL.

It pulls 5th perfect with the 15 tooth in sandy conditions, I am 100% postive I could pull a 16 tooth.
I don't ride hardly any super tight trails but it does seem a tad tall when I get into some really tough slow riding but not enough that I would change back to a 14 tooth.

WAS STOCK CHAIN LONG ENOUGH TO ACCOMODATE 15T?
I ASSUME IT IS, BUT I THINK I'M GONNA ORDER AT A WHOPPING $8.99 FROM ROCKY MNTN ATV IF NO CHAIN NEEDED.

Stock chain works fine for a 15T, but that's it!!

This is a question for those of you using a 15 thooth front. How does it do in trail riding and such. I could definitely use it in the sand at Little Sahara, OK and places like that, but I am curious about it in the trails. Any info is good. Thanks.
