Ever thought about 2-strokes making a come-back? Imagine a 2-stroke motor having a EFI fuel management system, and injecting fuel directly (back) into the exhaust port!!!! Wow!!!!! Can you even imagine converting your existing 4-stroke into one of these high horsepower producing monsters??????????
Well...............Someone has. Do your research, and then check out Evinrude's outboard boat motors. Impressive. Can you imagine how this technology can revolutionize the atv industry?

I believe this has already happened. I'm not positive but I think I remember reading about the E-Tec motor being tested on road racing motorcycles before it came out as an outboard motor.

evinrudes sister company, BRP, has had it in the 600 sdi (semi direct injestion) snowmobile for gooing on 4 years.

600 2 stroke getting 4 stroke fuel mileage and 2 stroke horsepower and very reliable

Direct Injection is also on the table.

BRP also has a Power Tek 800 sled that is still carburated but has a computer running it to maximize MPG and power
