i am new to this sport i have a 01 warrior basket case i rebuilt the motor it had bad crank hole in case and a few bad bearings .after spliting the case twice i finaly got it running, but now i am having trouble with shifting.my question is when putting the spring and ball and bolt in the hole for the reverse am i supose tohave the selector in foward or reverse or in the middle of both or does it realy matter?? any thaught or answer would be great. i have spent two months on this wheeler and i am about to make it a boat anchor!!!!,also when i hit the starter switch i get a clunk in the flywheel area i pulled it apart and checked it all looked good all gears look good and looks like it is meshing good it will start but it clunks while cranking any ideas?

ok the clunking is the starter clutch and now i am hoping the shift lever that turns the selector is the other problm. I will let you know since i have had so many helpful thaughts.
