I'm currently redoing my 86 Q'racer. I'm thinking about doing the frame and upper a-arms in black with the lower a-arms in black rhinoliner for durability. With a black seat also with the yellow fade plastic (not neon yellow).

im looking into getting a 250 2 stroke. how do the lt's and the trx's compare to each other?

Suzuki was faster on top end due to gearing. Power was about equal. Honda had a phenomenal chasis that is what most current sport atvs are based from. Cant go wrong with either quad. More aftermarket support for honda, But I personally will never sell my zuke......Unless there is a zilla trade involved! ! ! !

OK thanks! Cause around me the lt250's are way cheaper even if there in really good shape. trx's are more and some aren't are nice and they want quite a bit.

i agree, i love suzuki's...i'm acutally getting back my old lt250/500 hybrid, so i'll have 2 now! but with the 250's, just rebuild the engine right the first time, and you'll have no problems...well maybe with the waterpump! lol...the mech. seal seems to go alot on them, but they sell rebuild kits cheap.

buy a manual for it...i would rebuild the crank, put a fresh top end on, rebuild the waterpump and grease the chassis and replace any bearings that need it. after that, it should be quite reliable.

I loved my LT but don't let anyone fool you, the TRX was just better built all around. If you get an old Suk and plan to ride it hard, plan to wrench a little more then you would with a TRX.

I also have mx tires for it, but put the Razr II on for a lil trail riding first. haven't raced mx in 4 years, not sure if I will. After my latest dings flat track racing last year, I am thinking maybe I should just play ride from now on.

No, not the LRD 300. Just their engine kit, bored .040 over and pipe. The silencer got bent in the last crash few years ago, and they no longer make their pipe for the LT. So I got the FMF, it fits even better than their own silencer! Also sounds the same.
