I am working on a blaster for some friends. They have lost the key, and I dont know what to do with it now. Is it possible to run just a killswitch on it, and no key? I would prefer to do that if I can.

well you have 2 options.

1. on the ignition there should be some kind of code, copy that code and take it to a local dealer and they can get or make you a key.

2. take the ignition wires and connect then together, but the problem with that is when the quad is not in use its like having the key on all the time, therefore the battery will not last

na dude a blaster doesnt have a battery.... alls u gotta do is take the 2 wires coming out of the ignition where the key was is cut em and tape the ends off and it should start right up....but i dont think u gotta splice em just leave em apart...

dude you could of unpluged the ing. from the blaster for free and left it on the quad so people would thing theres a key... my budds sled runs off the throttle wormer... and the throttle is wired the the grip wormers...

All blasters are kick-starts. I would imagine that all of them have keys stock.

so gray ur full of it... you don't have a quad so quit lie'in alright. All blasters have keys and a kick start they have never made'em n e other way. Alright... you have the freakin quad and you don't know. Sounds a bit odd, i guess you just never started it... hum

Yup even my 88' had a key. I pulled it and now it's a cool place to run my cables.

my key isn't hooked up i just use the kill switch.
