mine looks good because i wash it before and after every ride.that includes polishing wheels,frame,tires,tire foaming plastics and spot painting rust spots on frame. i ride hard and get it super nasty but i will never let anything i pay hard money far go to trash and look like crap.i take pride in my bike

Mine gets mighty dirty, a power washer and SC1 detailer spray help- of course being black, if you look close it's real scratched up, but still looks decent from a ways away.

I don't have a lot to compare them to because this is my first quad, they seem much better than the stocks though. I mainly ride on rough trails so I needed the clearance and durability. I did, however, take it to a friend's track last weekend and it steers much better than before and the back is much more predictable when sliding.

its the cheap way to add stability, not recommended for big jumps or hard riding but my wife dont ride too hard and the added width makes it alot better in the corners
(I will put spacers on the rear)
you can see the difference in the 08 and the 05 width
(it also exposes the front brakes to damage so I wouldnt
want to ride in real rocky areas)
sorry the 05 is dirty, I never put them up dirty
(my kids where using it to sled behind and didnt wash it
and its been freezing here)

its just harder on it, you can jump it fine just dont flat land 10' drops
flipping the front rims adds bump steer also but mainly in high speed bumps and ruts, if you just trail riding its cheap insurance to keep the rubber side down
the 250ex is pretty tippy stock
the right way to do it would be extended axle and wider A-arms
but for the $$ and the way my wife rides this is just not cost effective

Im just gonna post this one, its old and my 250 doesnt have very much stuff on at the time. Yes, thats a toyota on a dirtpile painted like kasey kahnes nascar, haha It was my dads old work truck, then we had a tornado and our barn collapsed on it and smashed the roof so me and my friend bent the roof up and painted it, lol.
We take that beast bout 65 mph (all that 4 banger will go) and hit a big ledge thats a very steap incline, and get so much air it bottoms out then pull the e-brake spin it around and gun it back up, lol

by looking at the picture, you would have to invert the shocks so the spring wouldnt hit the lower a-arm/shock bracket
I read somewhere that the 01 raptor shock will fit the rear of the 250ex and provide a better ride than stock (adjustable)

the black brackets with the three bolts accommodate for the longer shocks
an 01 raptor shock will fit will minor modification.

Well you see I have a +4.5 widening kit on it and a shock conversion kit.

I raced my quad completely stock, from what im hearing everybody bottoms out...i didnt bottom out once last season. I placed (best) 4th and worst 8th place(DNF) so yeah i mean i beat a kid thats dad put like 5 K into his blaster when i had stock tires and everything, every race. And other times when i placed higher the other racers blasters stalled out and i have the only still running quad lol. so MX was a ****load of fun and im racing again this year, maybe with some works shocks and everything in my sig...

id recommend flipping your front rims, it adds about 2 inches on each side and saves ALOT of money wasted on a arms...axles dont do as much work as a amrs and cost a lot of money. Go with a new suspension and save ur money, but thats just me.

simple wen motocrossing you are balls to the walls jumping 8-10 feet off back tires and laning 20 feet away. trails there are a 2 types leisure or gncc racing type of riding. if you do gncc type of riding then i DO agree with wat u said but lesisre trail riding wont do anything is my point. so it all depends

be carefull categorizing by large groups, there are always

i dont know if I want to sell, I tried putting it on allready for like 2 seconds. But i did not drill the holes or get the rioght bolts. and it I do that it will be a permanent change.

I tried the raptor schock and i was thinking the same thing. I didnt want to make it permanent so I just used the stock bolts and added a washer on the bottom i believe. I thought it was way to stiff. I dont know may have been a bad schock though, got it of ebay. I switch to a works schock way better.

it seems to be a good shock, you can always make it less stiff by adjusting the rezzie

they suck dont do it unless you dont jump far or get front and rear shocks i always go to my friendss backyard one and it does good only like 3feet in air. tyhen i went to a ama track with the dirtbike and decided to take atv and dirt bike the next time i went back and mannn do i regrett it i got killed the whoops tired me out so fast and is is so narrow you cant slide and botoms out with only 4feet in air. i don suggest it but if you hit the jumps slow tjhen i guess its good

well a local quad only track has smaller jumps than a ama mx track. like i said a smaller or quad track wouldnt be bad for the 250ex but dont go to a dirtbike track or expect to bottom out

this track tough is basically all table tops. Like 90's will get some air on these. A 250ex with a ride thats pretty good will make most the table tops except for 3 maybe because they are pretty long. There is 1 straight of whoops but they arent bad and since its bascially all table tops (there 1 big hump and 2 smaller humps if you wanted to even call it a double or triple lol) and I am pretty sure he will just be doing open practice. Unless he decides to go full out idk.

my 250ex is widened both front and back with razors on the back and a k&n and hmf. I also have 400ex front shocks on, and i am thinking about reinstalling my raptor rear shock, but <i cant get the preload screww to budge. Besides that it is not a bab set up for mx.

I just read your reply again, first of all why would you take a 250ex to an ama motorcross track where everything is set up for a dirtbike, and then come say that it suck,of corse it will suck, you are riding on a track where the whoops are canyons and the jumps are bigger than normal.

BR16250 you should try the the 300ex rear shock on the the rear of your 250ex it is ajustable and set up for a lighter quad. And did you try lossening the preload all the way up on the raptor rear shock?

That I am almost 100 percent sure that it will be way to soft for mx, you will probably bottom out on the jumps.
