i have an 04 yfz 450 and when i go to start it. it just makes a clicking noise. i put a new battery in it and still dose the same thing. please help.

check your oil pump mine did the same thing and then it made a bad grinding noise, took it to the shop and bam $2000 plus to get the parts. it sucks but go with a jt oil upgrade kit its the 07 pump kit but cheaper.

sounds more like a starter relay to me.

i thought that also but i was wrong.if it starts ok rarely then it has problems.mess with the fusses and all wires back by the battery if you get it to start. i would look at the oil pump it runs for about 5minutes then grinds like a mother i know another bud that had the same thing we both thought it was a starter but were way off

yea i changed the fusses and the cylinoid and it still makes a clicking noise and wont start.
