I'm not sure I understand the question. You can go as fast as your skill and machine's HP/handling will allow.

What mods are you running?
Im going to be honest, I only rode sand once, and it was on a old honda utility. It was bogging it down pretty good.
Does the 400 stay ontop of the sand pretty well? We wanted to take a trip to silver lake.

no mods just an FMF slip on and jetted. you can go as fast as the dunes will let you with out flying off the top of a razor back. had a blast and quad ran real good. i do wish i had had some more hp though. next is a port n pollish with a hot cam.

i think our nexr big trip is going to be to glamis but we might make a run to st. anthony in the fall. seem like a realy great spot to take the kids on their first dune ride.

maybe everyones missing it....
he's wondering, how many mph can can you average with whoever s mods and wheeler hes talking about, example, 62 mph in sand?
Posted by: casey_lamm
reguardless of speed, looks like tons of fun. I would like to do dunes one day...in PA and WV...we just have trails and mud... those are fun. I am going to take it to a track on a slow day so I don't get run over. I think that will be pretty fun
