My freind has bought a white kfx450 and was wondering how common it is for tail lights breaking off them. He has only ridden it about four times and has had two tail lights break off and along with breaking the stock skid plate in half on the first ride. the first time it broke off he had to replace the entire wiring harness because it ripped off the plug-in with the tail light.

I rode mine for 15 minutes and one of the rubber doo-dads that holds the taillioght on was broken. i just took it off. The best thing would be to find another way to mount it if you want to keep it on. Every quad I have ever owned the stock skids were worthless the first time I rode it. I guess that stuff is so minor to me it doesnt bother me. But I could see if all you did was trail ride it or dunes, but for racing XC we just dont worry about that stuff I guess.
