Hey, Im gonna be getting a 450 soon (new) and I was looking at the 450r. I was just wondering whats the best year to buy. Can someone list all the problems with the years. Ive been searching for a while now and just cant find what im looking for.

Yea I was reading about tranny problems. Any info on that?

There are some that have had problems but i don't know what the problem was! and what year it concerns.

04/05 had crank bearing/rod bearing problems, and once in a while some people hit the "false neutral between gears"

06/07 had recalls on a-arms, and throttle levers, but also had tranny problems, and electric start problems....

I prefer kickers no matter what year and I would take the 04/05 model personally.
