You have to love KTM. They throw it in the highest class allowed at its first time out. They don't back down from anything. I'm sure the only reason they aren't in Pro is the production rule (must have 100 available to public).

I wonder why he didn't setup the 525 for XC racing?

Tim got 7th in Pro Am and 24th overall on what I hear was a very ruff track. Very impressive for a stock quad. Just to show how ruff it was, 3 4x4's were on the podium in the AM race.

I was there and talked to some of the KTM guys. It seems to be a well built machine and they are still working on a price. The only thing that blows my mind is that the bolt pattern for the rear are honda and the fronts are yamaha. They had no reason why. As for the track Mr. Farr and his KTM buddies from Austria or were ever owe me and my friend jesse a big thanks for pulling him out of that big mud hole. I will give that 525 one thing, Its got balls. And there was no rev limiter in reverse. Which made it nice when he had to back up.

I would bet there Polaris hubs. They looked just like the Pred hubs and there Honda rear and Yam front. I think you will see the Outlaw 450 like the KTM quad.

XC1 & XC2 (ATV): (0-525cc). Fuel tanks are limited to a 4-gallon maximum capacity. OEM motor and matching frame combination model required.

Production rule applies to the Pro-Am class also.
Farr did race the 525XC.
