I need to know if the threaded end of the cable, where it goes to either the thumb throttle or twist grip, is the same diameter on the YFZ and the YZ. I am converting my YZ to a thumb throttle. I need to see if the YZ cable will thread into the YFZ throttle housing.

just so you know: the thread is the same on the YFZ as it is on a standard Honda throttle and many others. You could try it out with your 400ex housing too.

good info thanks. I had tried the housing off of my 400 and it is to big of a diameter to accept the YZ cable. Does anyone know what I should do now.
