ok, how do you take out your studs when you wanna replace them? i need head studs and exhaust studs? any one know about how much they are?

Posted by: #22blaster240

I just replaced all of them on my blaster and it was $20. To remove I used a set of channel locks on the non threaded parts.

Posted by: woodsracer144

you did the heads, and exhaust? or the bottom end studs too?

Posted by: newnick

I would use two nuts.

Posted by: woodsracer144

how do you use 2 nuts?

Posted by: newnick

Thread two nuts on the stud, get them up close to one another. Use the bottom one to remove the stud, it will jamb up against the top one and when enough torque is applied the stud should start turning.

i get it now....

Posted by: woodsracer144

can you use a socket set and all that or do you use a wrinch on the bottom one to get that nut tight and stuff?

Posted by: newnick

A box end wrench should work. If you use a socket both nuts will turn.

Posted by: broncogurl

I would assume so over time, or if you've overtorqued them. Just like bolts.
