do you ride with jon? i would love to ride with you guys but my dad would have to bring me and he rides slow. lol

Posted by: Wired

oh yea, me and b-mon (bartman) ride at his track all the time. next year im making bart make the track bigger and put some fmx jumps up . im sure i speak for him when i say more riders the better

Posted by: Bartman

damn right

Posted by: flyin#5

sweet

i just built a fmx jump its a sort of table built into a hill. the face of the jump is about 20ft and is perfect for fmx. i just have to build a bigger landing. ive crashed a couple times on it but nothing serious but some trees need to be removed and there are steeper hills on each side of the landing that i have to dig out. the good thing is i didnt have to do much becuase it was already a perfect table. then i have to get a better quad or at least some stock 400 a arms and shocks.

Posted by: jn7865

How far from forrest lake would you say you are?

Posted by: Bartman

that sounds kick ***** man- if you guys are ever around the Marshall MN area, (that's kinda where me and Jon are at.) Come ride- next spring i wanna make a riding/jackass home video and edit music on it- should be fun we need a $hit load of riders/jackasses though so the more the marrier!!

Posted by: jn7865

15 min. not far at all. ever been to the pit off 97? i was gonna go there but then they shut it down!:grr

Posted by: Team Outlaw #34

flyin,

dang man you really are very close to me....takes me 15 mins to get to forest lake also.....

Posted by: jn7865

Yeah my house is actually about 1/2 an hour from forrest lake. I live in grand rapids cause im goin to college here. But my house is in cambridge

Posted by: flyin#5

yeah 400ex kid i live really close to you. my friends dad works in white bear and it only takes him a half hour to get home.

and jn, i know there is a track in cambridge but can quads race on it? i forgot if it is ama or not but i know my friends race dirtbikes up there. there is a track not to far from my house in a tiny town called milltown. if you guys want to get into racing it is a great track to start with.

Posted by: jn7865

Yeah theres a track they have quad racin like twice a year and dirtbikes alot. What are the rules for entry down at your track. What classes do they have ive wanted to get into racing but didnt know exactly how to any help would be beneficial thanks

Posted by: Team Outlaw #34

yeah....i think quads can go there.....but i'm not to sure.....go to www.armca.org ......or go to www.mxbob.com you will find a whole bunch o tracks and times and everything like that......if quads can go there......we should meet sometime and practice there..... oh yeah and how far do you think that mx track is from me? the one that is close to you.

Posted by: jn7865

are you talkin to me 400ex kid? If you are cambridge is probably 45 mins to an hour. Cambridge is 10 minutes west of North Branch if you know how far that is all you have to do is add 10 minutes

Posted by: Team Outlaw #34

flyin,

****..........that millvilletrack looks like an awsome track! dang...i'd kill myself on the thing.....i raced the last race at iron river wisconsin and i thought that was cool! do you know if you can practice on that track anymore this year.? or is it shut down?

Posted by: Team Outlaw #34

jn7865,

sorry i was talkin to flyin....but anyway.....if you want to get started i would suggest a track in iron river wisconsin...its kinda far but its worth it....because it is a small track and it is great for beginners....I raced there like 5 weeks ago (it was the last race) and i have never raced before...it is awsome! the website is www.iraceatv.com (aren't any races left till next year)

Posted by: jn7865

That looks pretty cool. It should be only about 1 1/2 hours from my college. I may have to check that out next year.Thank you

Posted by: flyin#5

yeah we should meet up and ride a track sometime. that track is not in millville. that track is sweet but the one in milltown is not the best but from what ive heard is a good begginer track. my friend races his z400 up there and says its not the best but they have alot of fun. ill ask him tomm about all the rules but i think nerf bars are needed but i dont think they would be to just practice. and of course you need to have some gear.

Posted by: flyin#5

that iron river place is looking good. and the best thing is its only an hour away from my cabin according to mapquest. next summer we should make a trip up there and then we can stay at my cabin at night. there are a ton of trails and big open fire roads around my cabin to ride on too. i really want to hit that track. i just hope my sx holds up. lol

Posted by: jn7865

Yeah that would be cool we could all haul up to a track and ride

Posted by: Bartman

yeah i rode on that track in millville called meadow valley- sweet as heII- it took us like 6 hours to get there- we went the weekend of the pro dirt bike races. I think that was the funnest weekrnd of my life so far- all heII broke loose at nite. was anyone else there? i was on the yellow 400ex

Posted by: flyin#5

a year or so ago my one friend who owns a 400ex hit a 50ft table and went over it 20ft and put his back shock through the seat. he is crazy.

Posted by: jn7865

thats crazy I didnt even think somthin like that was possible did he get hurt at all. That would be intresting on video spring through the seat

Posted by: Team Outlaw #34

yeah that would be kewl if we could all take a trip up there.....oops flyin i read it wrong its milltown not millville lol..anyways i'll be up to evey race in Iron river....i think it is a fun track.....

Posted by: flyin#5

ill have to have you stop buy sometime at the cabin

Posted by: infantry317

Odie, where do you ride in Shakopee? I work there but live in Hutchinson.

Scott

Posted by: Wired

hey scott do you know mitch stockman at all? he used to race a 1986 R and lived like 15 south of hutchingson. well he also mentioned at one time that there was a nice quad mx track near hutch, do you know what he was talking about????

Posted by: infantry317

Hey Wired
No,
The name doesn't sound familar, and I don't know of a public track, though a guy I've ridden a few times has a very nice little personal MX track.
Scott

Posted by: JUSTINcredible

There used to be a track in cokato which is near hutchinson.. not sure if its still there though

Posted by: JUSTINcredible

actualy on hwy. 22 south of hwy 7 in hutch there is a private track but the guy that owns it seems to be pretty nice about letting people ride on it

Posted by: infantry317

Is that the Olson (I think) farm? I think its the grandparents land (I've heard you just have to ask). There's only one jump, but better than nothing. Blaster are you in the Crowriverwheelers? You should be. We have a little land basically some trails in a 40 acre woods (though its close to Litchfield). $20 a year.
Scott

Posted by: flyin#5

welcome mxblaster. hopefully next summer us tc area riders will get together and ride.

Posted by: sylvan56473

Brainerd. Well, actually Pillager. It's 11 miles West of Brainerd. We have a few tracks here. There are races every Friday night in Brainerd in the summer. AMA races in Staples in the summer and also racing in Staples inside the dome this winter. I will also be building a track 12 miles North of Pillager this spring. We have a ton of people around here with 250R's and some 400EX's. I am also selling my 250R right now if you guys now anyone that is interested. It's under the for sale coloumn right now.

Posted by: infantry317

So John, if you're selling the 'R, what's replacing it?
Scott

Posted by: Wired

derek's selling his R for a new polaris predator or cannondale. i think he's leaning towards the predator. trust me, he can get a good deal on one plus we grew up on polaris and there not as bad as alot of the guys that dont know what thier talking about say they are :grr i have a good friend that is going to have a full polaris ride this year for racing and from what he's told me i might even consider buying one

Posted by: sylvan56473

Nothing will really be replacing the 250R, except maybe another 250R. I am buying another house at the moment and need some cash. If it sells, then I'll just build another one. Building them is half the fun. I want someone to trade me a stock 250R plus some cash so that way I will have alot of the little items that I need to rebuild. I am also looking at taking a 400EX in on trade so I have something to play with and also the Wife wants a fourwheeler.

Posted by: Wired

whoops wrong jon, sorry bout that lol
