are the stems universal between the 400 and 450?

No they are not.....The one the LTR450 has is set-up like the ones found on the YFZ450s....Which means that the steering stop at the bottom of the stem is detatchable.

no they are not universal.....i got a Houser +2 for my LT

My LTR has a set of Pro Taper bars and it looks just as high as my +2 houser on my 400ex.
