the durablue strut when it's in it's shortest form?
i bought my bike with the strut on it but i'm not looking to lower my bike, how much shorter is the stock dogbone compared to this?

I am pretty sure the stock dog bone will be very close in length to the durablue adjustable linkage when it is at its shortest setting. I think the durablue linkage is designed such that the quad can be adjusted from the stock height to a lower height. The longer the dog bone, the lower the ride height.
The 250r had different length dog bones for certain years. I think the 86/87 and 88/89 are different lengths but someone feel free to chime in if I'm wrong.
I once had an R with a durablue in its shortest setting which I changed out for a stock dog bone. Didn't change the ride height at all.
I hope this helps. Surely someone can just measure a stock dog bone for you.

if someone could measure their stock dogbone (and tell me the year) that would be awesome

At it's shortest length, it is the same as an 87-89 link. The 86 link is longer by about 3/8-1/2", I believe. I'll try to get a measurement on an 86 if you need it.

I believe the 86 is 7" center to center the 87-89 is 6" center to center.
