-Do you grease your chain as often as a motocross ? i mean like every ride or two.
-How often do you clean your air filter ? 1-2 time a month ?
Posted by: redrider ex
I use chain lube before a big ride and i clean my filter about every month or sooner if it is real dusty

where i ride its real dusty so i have to clean the filter everyride or evry other ride. And i clean and lube the chain after every 5-6 rides

lube the chain after every ride and clean the filter after almost every ride and spray everthing with a good coat of wd-40

what all do you spray down with WD40?
Posted by: optikid123
the motor and everthing that moves pretty much and it makes the bike shine

DO NOT use WD40 on your chain and plastics. WD40 will break down the O-rings in your chain adn make your plastic very brittle after you use it a couple times.

yeah XCracer knows what hes talkin about DON'T USE WD40!

what about the wd-40 on the engine? it makes in shine but does sand and dirt stick to it? does the WD burn onto to motor and cause problems?

dust sticks to the wd-40 and can make cleaning up some things more of a pain than it really needs to be... I have a friend who builds and rides mountian bikes and he refuses to use wd on any part of his bikes because of that.

yeah , w-d40 is a dust magnet. plus it is alcohol based product and evaporates quickly. it's crap

i lube my chain everynite after i ride, then it gets pastey and stays on the chain and doen't fling off, and i when i change my oil every 3 months i clean my air filter, sometimes earlier, depends where i ride.
