what is the cheepest place to get works shocks and if you all could post the model and price for the front shocks for a 400ex

or any other option i want something cheep and i dont race i just want something a little better than stock

smokin joes!!! i got my works triples with cans for 450. thats 80 bucks off retail. i can't garentee that price for you (its possible tho) but i know you will still pay a lot less than the 529 retail price. send an e-mail to tyylr@aol.com and he can get you hooked up. tell him dave sent you.

all i need would be like A-T steeler single rate with out rezzies anything would be better than riding on blown stock shocks how cheep are KYB shocks i saw a set on ebay but could not find them on the net

you can get any works or ohlins shock cheap from smokin joes. i was just tellin you the deal i got. you can get a deal like that on any shock. btw i don't think works makes a single rate front.

thats cool i wasnt tring to be rude or anything im just looking for basically the bottom line shock and people are telling me to buy some elkas or peps that are like 700 + dollars ive never heard of ohlins before what are they like

ohlins are single rate but they are as much as works triple rate with rezzys which make a huge difference over stock!!!!!
i would suggest them 100% you won't be disapointed.

You can get dual for sure and I think they offer single too.

are you positive? the dealer guide only shows triple rate....

I could see how you could swa out springs to make dual or single, but I thought it was only what the catalog said.

the only dual and singel rate shocks they make for the 400ex are fot tt/flattrack/ and ice racing.

they acutllay take away suspension travel

look again.......
my works catalog says TRS(triple rate springs) for the FRONT with 16.25" of travel the srs and drs are 14.75" of travel........

post again tell me if you see this....
