I am getting a 450r, or at least I think I'm going to get it, but they are running 108 in it now, and I really hate to contiue running that I'd like to run 93 instead because of price.
What is needed to change it out, without tearing it down I am going to try to find out specs first.

is it running some 14.5:1 piston or something?

I'm unsure of what piston its running but I know they are have 108 race fuel only in it.

I know guys who run a 50/50 mix in stock bikes, they just jet accordingly, dont ask me which way they go though. Id guess they go richer because I think the race fuel is oxygenated, not really sure though so let someone else who knows for sure answer before you do anything with jetting when going back, but I do know if its a high CR piston, depends on how high they went but you might only be able to get away with a 50/50 mix.

race fuel is like a dollar fifty more a gallon. If you ride all day you may use a tank and a half. thats like four more dollars a day to ride it?

The 110 Octane I used to run in my 330r was almost $5/gallon...not cheap, but maaaaan did it smell good with Maxima in it
Yum...

what kinda bike do you ride? the bikes we ride are a piped/jetted yfz, BB stroker 460, piped/jetted raptor 660 and we go out for a couple hours and we better refuel before we go out again, plus premium is like 3.50-3.75 bucks a gallon and race fuel is between 6.00-10 a gallon around here.

Whether or not high octane is required, is dependent on what is done to the motor. Found out what is done to it.
