when i bought mine it had a twist throttle on it i bought a stock 2502 throttle but it woulddnt fit so i put the throttle housing from my lil bros 250ex on there and about half the throttle is slack could it be that the twist trottle required a different carb cap.

i could not get the 250ex throttle assembly to work on my r. i picked up an r assembly on ebay.

i got it to fit right its the cable off the stock 250r assembly that im having problems with that and the size of it is huge so with the stock r asembly i dont have room for a hand grip or enough to even hold it with my hand

when i put the ex housing on with the ex internals and a stock r cable, it all bolted up but the cable was about an inch to long, for it to work on mine i would of had to have a 2inch cable adjuster instead of the 1inch that was on the cable. i didnt have any r internals to give it a try. i just bought a complete r assembly and it took care of my problem.

ok thats about how much room i had i think the carb cap isnt stock it doesnt screw all the way on and it drops straight down instead of the stock cable havin a 90 degree drop into the carb
