What do I have to do to get the axle out?

pull the wheel off (rt side) get some big wrenches or channal locks and loosen your lock nuts , the skinny one should turn towrds the frame, when there off pull that snap ring out. than pull you brake disc off and you shoul be all set. if i missed anything im sure someone will clear it up.

Gotta take off the hub after you take the wheel off. Sometimes its just easier to undo the hub and leave the wheel on it.

pull the wheel
pull the hub
loosen the lock nut up (be toward the swingarm)
take the snap ring off
take the lock nut off
take your brake rotor off
axle should slide out the other side...

could give you fits getting hung up on the collar inside the housing. Just take you time it will come out if you are holding it right...
