haveing truble getting my 400ex to run right. ti start it half to give it throttle and once i let off it dies and. also when i keep the throttle on and go a little bit and i get to about half throttle it dies. what would be the problem. the plug seems real rich i just got the ex so i dont know the jetting on it.

it could be rich on the pilot circuit. take the pilot jet out and there should be a number stamped on it somewhere. also while you are in there check out what number the main jet is.

stock main jet is a number 148
stock pilot is a number 38

also what mods are done to the quad.

no, got the problem fixed. need to do alittle reading in the manuel
