my 400 is burnin aquart per half mile what do ya think i did? and how bad do you think i did it?

More then likely rings or valve seals.. anyhow the top end has to come off..

yeah im taken to a buddy he live 4 hours away but hes a pro 4 cheap. im just tossing around what i want to do to it.

no leak its just smoking real bad, my exhaust rotted so its smoking really

my buddies 400ex did the same thing.i just got done installing 440,stage 2 hotcam,mild port job,valve seals,new valves,and regrind seats in the head.i think his cyclinder was out of round causing the smoke and the burning oil.he went threw about 1 1/2 quarts in about 1 1/2 hours.it was also hard to start.now it fires right up

mine starts right up no problem an idles great but i just cant see behind me haha. its in the shop getting a high comp piston stock bore, with new valves and stage 2 cam. i also just bought a 450 carb so we'll see how everything gos together.
