22" rear 23" front, stock gearing Gps at 77 mph pavement and 72 mph dirt. It still could go higher in the gearing I just don't know if I need it.

I have the same setup as you and am contemplating an hmf slip on. I just do not know if it is worth it over the stock exhaust being open or if it is just looks that will improve.....

Posted by: eerhard09

Double post....

Posted by: bsieren

I put the pipe on right away and rejetted. Performance wise I rode it around for a little bit with the stock set up and it was ok, but not near as snappy as it is now with the pipe and rejet. By the way I have the airbox lid off also. As far as jets, the stock one is 148 and I am running 172 with the red needle on the 3rd position with the JD kit.

Noise wise the HMF is a lot louder than the stock. IMO the HMF, rejet and no lid is well worth the extra snap and overall power increase that it gave it.

Can't wait until UNI or K&N come out with a filter and outerwear for this to let it breath a little better yet.

Posted by: Evasiveone

Pro design with a K&N is out now.
Pro design filter
Mine will be here tomorrow.

I am waiting to see what the Muzzy exhaust will be like. It should be out in a little over a month. They are doing R&D right now on the 525.

I have to compliment you on the cool front fenders nice job overall . You and mental state both have killer looking units as do all I am still in the process of getting my just right to post it will be killer also I am waiting for my stadium suspension and some other trinkets all these quads should be applauded.

Posted by: 67mopar

hey X_Da_C nice lookin bike, is really street legal? also r those ds650 fenders, and ya might want 2 get some torks for the rear. lol

Posted by: X_Da_C

Yes its street legal and yes they are ds fenders. I thought about the torks for the rear but i might end up just going for beadlocks since the rear end is wider than the front and i always slam into rocks.

I think i need to get some better tires for this type of trails? Anyone recommend the mudlite SP's but in a 23" 22" setup? I want to get a bit more, not much to kill the handling and acceleration, clearance. Besides the SP's, what would ya'll recommend?

OH, and some riding gear!!

Posted by: 525 Outlaw Dude

all around there a good tire, i had them on my 525 when hunting season came and they worked wonders in rough terrain, and muddy conditions like yours.

thanks! I wasn't sure if i want to go with a larger set of GNCC or RAZR's or a dedicated mud tire like those. What i'm looking for is a tire that will cut through the water well.

how do you like your ct pipe? i am thinking of getting one and was wondering how loud and how much power increase you noticed. thanks

Posted by: BikerTrash05

Before anyone asks, those are MudLites on Pred rims, and before the new MudLite sport tires. And for some reason, the tires developed different shapes, as in one is rounder, and one is flatter. I want black rims and the new MudLites all around.

Bikertrash have any pics from the back? I'd like to see how those Predator rims look sticking out.

Posted by: Eddie11gt

I love the exhaust. It’s loud but not as loud as my brothers FMF 4.1 for his Outlaw. At idle is has a nice deep tone and power was a big noticeable difference. I’m very happy with my purchase. Ct racing makes a great product and Allen is helpful, give him a call. I’m lucky I live 15 min away

Posted by: outlawjeff

thanks for the info

Posted by: BikerTrash05

Sorry, no pic from the back. They didn't stick out too far, and I had no problem sliding around in the snow.

Custom axis has air shox also now. I saw them at the indy show.

Still need to put some powder on the wheels yet but since I got it cleaned up, I figured I would post some pics. Stuff added over the winter:

HMF
EHS Air box lid
powdered the A-Arms, bumper, nerfs, grab bar, and heat shield
Ceramic coated the header (need to do the mid pipe yet)
Put on the Pure Polaris gripper seat cover
Have new rear tires but have not mounted them....

I like that seat cover. Did you have them add anything to the seat foam to get the valley out of it?

Posted by: eerhard09

No, I thought sbout doing that but just decided that I didn't mind the valley. I did slide up a little with the stock cover but this cover is so tacky that once I am sitting on it, I do not move!

My brother asked me the same question since I did the fronts. But, for some reason I do not mind the aluminum a-arms on the back, unlike the silver painted fronts. Not sure why I feel that way though, can't pinpoint it.... The last thing I want to do if PC the wheels, at least my sand rims.... I don't want to do the stock rims because I would like to replace those with HiPer's anyway. That will probably be my next big purchase since I do not mind the stock shocks (for now). After the Hipers I will get the stock shocks rebuilt my GT Thunder and that will be it for a while....

Posted by: willb

No worries Bill, we still love ya. Offsets are stock. They are about 46 now. I have a set of new baja's left over that will fit the front. I am working on a set of Gallagher hubs to suck in the front.

Chad runs alittle more narrow maybe a 1/2 to 3/4 inch more. That is about as far you can go without hitting the sway bar down tube.
Steph got these when she was with Team Polaris. Got to see her. Very Nice...

Fit and finish is perfect. Why Douglas doesn't sell them to us direct yet??

Price: Bill I dont want to upset ya.

hey Outlawbill,
ive got the 450, if you havent guessed that, but i was thinking about getting lonestar long travel a arms and some fox floats, but ive never riden anything with floats. are they really soft? My friend has a yfz with custom axis and my brother in law has a kfx400 with custom axis and i love the way both ride(suspension wise) they soak up any bumps and are so much smoother then my podium x's. But i would rather have floats, so how do they ride?
thanks.

Posted by: TYLER329

No, they don't make EVOLs for the rear, they only tried it on Eichners bike and they won't sell them to me......yet. As far as pressures go, I haven't had time or weather to be able and go out and dial the fronts in. The front mains are at about 45LBS I think. I will have the whole Gallagher sway bar set up by the end of the week. This is the .120 wall chromoly sway bar and aluminium adjustable links. I will have more pics up after the carbon fiber nose, flexx bars and the Gallagher sway bar stuff. Here is one more pic.

what kind of a arms are those?

Posted by: thelittlefrench

It is a French manufacturer called "TBS"
I have a sponsorship contract with him and also Rath racing.
But TBS lives at 30 miles from my home.

Posted by: thelittlefrench

I keep them stock length-

Posted by: outlaw450mxr

and what bend are your bars? I want new bars just dont know what bend to go with, yours look like a comfortable bend. Sorry about all the questions, hope you dont mind.

Posted by: SSJEFF

Isn't it the rear shock that everyone is shortening?

Posted by: outlaw450mxr

maybe, but if you talk to the guy at c and d racing he said that the front shocks are to long for any a arms, so if you shorten them the quad gets like 2 inches lower and more suspension travel.

Posted by: thelittlefrench

My front and rear shocks aren't short than stock,
They are totaly stock but I'have just Unscrewed the spring preload at the maximum

My bars is a Pro taper atv bar mid, with a Team Alba Polaris Handlebar Adapter.

where'd u get those eyelids, them things look sick!

Posted by: 525 Outlaw Dude

ya were did you get those Eye lids? and how did you guess do in the drags against other quad and what were they???

Posted by: sheriff525

The funny thing is that those eye lids are just black electrical tape that i put on for about $.10. It looks cool and really hard to tell unless your up close. The best part is that you can get it anywhere. Chaulk one up for being resoursful. I am glad you like them. We raced a couple of Modded out Raptors. We got it on video too but you can't really trust the video because the raptors are going all out and my brothers are still trying to do wheelies up sand mountain while they are dragging! We got lots of cool vids and pics. I hope to put them all together and get something cool together for you all.

another 450 right near me!? haha whats done to yours? I was just at walden last saturday, you going this saturday if it doesnt rain?

Posted by: 400exrider_ed

She's actually a 525 IRS w/ Fox Podiums all around, Hipers, FMF Exhaust, Jd jetting, EHS Lid etc etc. I only work down in middletown anymore and live up north so I'll only be around for some weekday runs, and run CNYMRA weekends or some local yocal tracks, plus I cant find any good legal riding spots around m-town anymore. Its fun to get crazy looks running a IRS quad, but she runs well.

Posted by: outlaw450mxr

o alright, looked like a 450. but i go riding almost every sunday in middletown! at tets, the cops dont care or anything, its pretty fun.
