ok got a new problem. put the new motor in with the 12 to 1 wiseco piston. now if the quad is cold and dont start quick it will drag the battery down. do you guys with high compression motors run a different battery than the stock one. if so what battery will fit the stock battery box

I'm running a 12:1 compression piston, and my stock battery. I haven't had any problems so far. I don't think many people have. I made a thread about 6 months ago asking if a 12:1 would effect the battery having the power to turn it over, and people told me no.

i also have a 12:1 compression and it starts right up everytime without the choke, hot or cold

maybe you need a new starter. taking up to much power,
how much power does your battery have 12.5 v to 13.8v is good
