okay i am adjusting my valves for the first time. i matched up the t but i was spinning it clockwise not knowing it was supposed to be done counter clockwise, i started it up n it ticked so bad. now that i know to spin it counter clockwise do you think it hurt anything when i did it wrong?

most likely not the cam chain does not have enough slack in it to jump a tooth. it is no different than stalling out going up a hill and rolling backwards.

When you adjusted the valves you probably had it on the decommpression stroke. Try the process again and I bet the exhaust valve is very loose.

when i adjusted them i was cranking the engine clockwise not knowing you are supposed to crank it counter-clockwise. and it messed them all up. i hope it didnt hurt anything!and i also heard the the right exhaust valve will be a little tighter than the rest of the valves because of the decompression. how true is this. any input will help. thanks
