OK I am getting a Lonestar NO link frame 88' year style I believe. I have a stock 86' frame right now with that motor as well. Is there any problems with throwing that motor in it.?

I have a no Link Roll Design swingarm on my frame now along with +2+1 LSR A-arms. when I put the swingarm on stock frame I had to remove the lower bracket right under swingarm bolt. Roll seign everything was good with that. I'm just curious I can't pass this frame up Since I already have a no link swingarm I figured this would be a great combo, also its 89 length so -1
Let me know I really want some pics of NO link frames if possbile perferably without drivetrain/plastic maybe just the swingarm or something.

Thanks guys
Clayton

I'm curious about this as well.

When you mounted an 88 swinger to an 86 frame, what did you use to secure the rear portion on the motor?

Nothing I took that piece out, and accord to Roll Design that was correct. ? Does the bracket that I removed make sense where I'm talking about?
If not I will try to clarify it ok you have the no link swingarm with a long through bolt under that there is a about a 1" dia tube that has/had a bracket on it, I removed that.

ok so you basically removed the piece that goes inbetween the 86 swingarm (with bold holes on top and bottom.)

looks something like this:
I====I ?

so you removed the original linkage mount right? the motor will fit in any year frame no problem. the 86/87's had a bracket the mounted in the middle of the swingarm pivot point and the motor bolted to this. if your using a 88/89 swingarm on a 86/87 frame you should weld some brackets on the bottom of the frame to mount the motor to. what year roll are you using?

Well I don't know what yr Roll Design swing is exactly its probably 2000 or so, I bought the bike stripped suspensino off and got the LSR front end then put that on then the roll rear end.

I found a picture on here of a LSR frame don't pay attension the the green X's but it shows bracket clearly.

Below the X's are 2 tabs that stick straight up with holes in them thats what I removed.

Let us all know how this works out. I think you might need to use a different length shock since those Roll no-link swingers are designed for stock link frames. Maybe someone here can confirm this.

I run an old JP frame that can be setup for either a no link or stock link setup and if you still do need a pic, I could try to get it up tonite.

I do know its the Lobo 2 rear

Here's a pic of the LSR nolink I have. I run a 88 motor. The other one I have doesn't have the two tabs coming down just like the pic. with the green x's. I also run a 88 motor in it.

OK since I have a no link set up right now but attached to my stock 86' frame, is my no link shock going to be too short for a no link frame? I just thought of something can someone get me eye to measurement for the shock?
I really appreciate it.

My shock measures 17 5/8 inches.
