Hey which company is better for performance/reliability for a 265cc pv.

also what is the difference between pv and stock head.

The powervalve is a slide that opens and closes at a certain rpm and smoothens the powerband of your motor. It's really nice for motocross because you don't have to always be in the "powerband" and have to worry about it.

The duncan 265 powervalve I had was really nice and alot of fun. But I did like having a stock 250r powerband as to the 265 powervalve.. it was definetly funner to rip around.. and the 265 powervalve is just as reliable!

so is there powerband kinda all at ounce then or what?

2 strokes have a "violent" powerband. As a whole 2 strokes dont have much bottom end grunt like the 4 strokes do. A powervalve jugs will make it have more bottom end and run more like a 4 stroke. Good for MX but pointless for the drag racers
