i got my 450r shocks for my 400ex today and reading the threads about installation, i got the impression i had to grind the top off the shock so it fitted underneath the nut that is welded onto the mount. but i jus filed some of the nut off and the shocks cleared it. will this be ok? or will i need to grind the shock down?
any help would be great
thanks

as long as its not touching you should be fine!

thanks orange ex. the other thing i cant understand is the fact that in some of the threads people say that you need to grind down the eye hole of the shock to make it thinner because its too wide to fit in the mounting bracket. i didnt have to, mine fitted in ok!?

i did the same thing, thought i had to grind the actual shock, but it was just that nut or a little part of the frame i had to grind.. made me a little angry
