Hey guys I'm new to the sport and I want to get involved. I am looking at purchasing a used 300ex. I found one in the local paper for $1200. It is a 1996. Would that be a good price to pay considering it is in good mechanical condition, has nerf bars, and has new front tires and a new battery. I know you don't have much information but I am just asking for a ballpark figure.

go check it out sound realy cheap ride it i got a 96 last year for 1500 mint and was stock heres a pic 2 months after i got it itlooks so much different now

sounds like a good deal to me. if anything, try to talk him down a hundred dollars or two.

Sounds like a good deal, I have one I am trying to get 1200-1500 out of it but would take 1,000 just cause I do not need it anymore. it doesnt look new but runs good.

i paid $650 not running looked like this when i got it

I think the 300ex in the paper is a good price. I bought mine '98 for 800 but that was off my friend so i would go ahead and buy it. 2 years ago my brother bought a '96 for 1800. So u have a good price.
