Can you have too much free play in the clutch lever cause I know you can have not enough because my 04 raptor 660 will take off with the clutch out and my hands off the thortle???

Yes you can have "TO MUCH PLAY" in the fact that when you pull it in it might not fully disengage. That means the quad might jerk when you put it into gear or die. Its prob not good for the clutch either.
