ive heard of a lot of guys having this part break on their z's. Ive been debating between a z and an ex but can't decide. now how can you permanently fix the chain adjuster problem.

It happens, but not very common. if you really wanted, you could always put a different swingarm on...

huh.... i never even thought of that thanx.

yup. also, not trying to talk you out of the ex, but the z is liquid cooled, ex is not, and depending on what year you get, the z has better suspension with piggyback ressies and the ex doesnt. both are very reliable.

thats what i was saying in your earlier post, once mine was fixed correctly i havent had problems, but the design kinda isint the best, idk just look at those bolts and adjustments before you buym, i didnt know what to look for and all mine were stripped or broken off, but now that its replaced its all good..

even when it is replaced correctly, it can still happen. it's not too likely, but it can. mine broke 2 times on my 05

Mine broke 4 times before I trashed the whole swingarm and replaced it with a Jannsen outlaw. I had raced mine a lot and rode alot on rought terrain and the axle carrier had just worn into the housing until my housing bolts just wouldnt hold it in place , even tightened passe the torque specs, it would tweak left or right just enough to weaken the adjustment bold and finally break it.

yeah i was worried about it at first but drill it and tap it to a bigger bolt and it ended up costing me 13 and change, isint a shop like 40bux and hour??
