Air Flow??

Is there anyway to get more air flow without putting holes in my air box cover? I have a K&N airfilter. Should I go with a different brand? My bike is not getting enough air and I was wondering if I could get it more. I pretty much only trail ride so I didn't really want to cut holes

clean the airfilter if its dirty and outerwear makes an airbox cover for a 300ex i found it on www.motosport.com

Yeah I tried to clean it but I dont know wha the best way to clean it is

Best bet is to buy an outerwears pre-filter for your filter, or the outerwears airbox cover. I use a UNI Filter and it seems to help flow pretty nicely as well.

Do you think I should replace it or try to clean it. I mean I cant tell but it seems To be in good condition

What should I oil it with?

Nothing is going to flow any better than a k&n. You can clean it with some dish soap. To oil it you need to pick up some k&n air filter oil. I would keep your airbox on too, and pick up an outwear, because those filters let in more than just air.

thanks for the input, I know this is a long standing debate some say cut holes or take of the lid others say dont. If I rode on a track it wouldn't be so bad but I ride in the woods and do a lot of mudding. I just will stick with the K&N.
