ok so the chain si supposed to have 1.2-1.6 inches of travel, but is that seated on the bike or with no one on it, it seems like if you tighten ti that tight with noone on it if you sit it gets even tighter and if you jump even tighter when landng, i dont want to snap a chain...

I was always told you should be able to fit your first two fingers in between the chain and the upper part of the swingarm while you are sitting on it.

same here. i heard 2 or 3 fingers, your preference. i go by 2 fingers inbetween the chain guard and chain..

put it on a stand it should be able to go down all the way

so put it on a stand and then check it, or on the ground and sitting on it and check it???

either the chain need to be lose eoungh to get throw the shocks full stork all the way up and all the way down .

tighten to the specs in the manual and you will be fine..It has worked fo me for years and years and years (you get the idea)
