I need to rebuild the bottem end on my blaster but i dont know how i get a new rod on the crank?? does the crank split? Also do i need to get the crank pressed in and out of the block? These are stupid questions i know but im used to workin on my dunebuggy which has an old vw engine so its quite simple.....

The crank presses apart, but you cant do it by yourself. Then it needs to be trued. Have it rebuilt by someone, or buy a new crank(cheaper).

The crank needs to be pressed out of the left side case, and pulled back into it. Do new crank bearings while you have it apart also.

yeah you are better off buying a vitos or hotrods crank assembly. I've put a new rod on a lt250r for a friend and it was a pain in the ***! and im a machinist with all the tools available to do the job...
