You don't really want the stud update. When you get inside there a number of items to check out while you are in there. A replacement for the stud update is a locking faster kit using Nordlock fasters. You can get those from David Muller aka Canniboomer. Head on over the www.cannondaleriders.com or forums.cannondaler.com and you will get all the help you will ever need over there. Depending on where you are located there are some people that will help you out.

cannondaleriders is down right now due to the ISP having issues. But, check in on it...great site.

actually just making sure the cartridge bolts have locktite will work.

Wistech's stud update is just using studs on most of the holes.

You have to check out cannondaleriders when its back up.

As far as ease of doing the update, depends on your mechanical abilities, but if your going to own a dale, you might as well learn how to work on them. Manuals can be downloaded at either cannondale site. Alot of us that own cannondales, have learn to become our own mechanics.

I dont even use the studs anymore . Just locktiting the stock bolts has worked great on even the high output strokers. Its amazing how the factory let something as simple as training everyone on how to apply locktite slip by but hey stuff happens. Heck even the yfz's had bolts falling out. The nordlock washers are cool also.

If you do it make sure you have a good quality tourque wrench....bad things happens when you tourqing it down and all off a sudden you hear..."pinket"

Thats encouraging. The studs do help the plate line up though.
