will this protect my filter from water. the guy before me just installed it and I was told it is water resistant. I'll be riding some harescrambles with this bike and i'm wondering if i should put the stock box back on.

it will but make sure yoy run a airbox with a lid

If he puts the lid back on then his jetting will be off. Just use a outwears lid cover. They work great and repell alot of water and mud.

i would definately use the outerware cover.i put an outerware on my filter, and put the lid back on, and it kept stalling out, due to the jetting.

just remember it is water resistant NOT WATERPROOF!

they don't stop all the water. so just keep that in mind.
