Finally got my C-Dale!!

As most of you know I had a silver Dale coming from a dealership in PA but was told I'd have a 4-6 week wait for the Arvin shock recall. It was either wait for the recall or a buy a Speed they had on the floor and I didn't want to do either. I decided to stop into my local Cannondale dealership and see what the story was on their stars and stripes they had in the showroom. The limited edition comes with the Ohlins rear but has the Arvins fronts. We got the recall notice and sure enough, the LE in there is effected by the recall. I tell the guy the deal I had at my PA dealership and he says, "If we match that deal and throw in a set of Ohlins fronts, will you take today?" I said of course! Needless to say, we signed all the paperwork and I pick it up Friday morning at 11:00!! I should have some pics Friday evening when my brother gets over here with his digi-cam.
Worked out pretty well for me. I got the stars and stripes version (which is the one I wanted to begin with) with full Ohlins for the same price and my dealership is only 15 minutes away.

Yep, and I doubt it will have the fuel-injection and technology that the C-dales have...
Posted by: Castor-426ex
true and it prob wont have over 30 hp...
Posted by: DarkStarRacing
good luck with your new quad bro...(trader)...jk
Posted by: Ben
Hmmm, I wonder what kind of deal I could get on trading in my mint 00 300ex on a 03 Cannibal?
Posted by: spincr4hire
Ben,
You'd be better off selling it for yourself, try the Cycle Trader or classifieds. Dealers USUALLY won't give you squat on trades.

Glad to hear you got a Dale. I hope you enjoy it. I am sure you will. Read the manual that comes with it real well. I think it is the best manual that I have ever seen come with an atv. There is a lot of good stuff in there.

Tell me about it. I get the IM's and emails as well. It's just too bad we've got so many closet Dale fans who are afraid to admit it publically
As far as a new Honda coming out, more power to them---whenever that may be. A wise man once told me, "***** in one hand and wish in the other. See which one you get first." Moral of the story, you can't wait forever. You've got to deal in the here and now.

I crapped in my hand once, and it was just like ughhh full of crap or something...

I found this site doing a search for Cannondale information. This is perhaps the best atv site ever. I know it is for Honda guys but there seems to be a bunch of Cannondale owners too.
I just bought a Speed and I must say it rocks! It screams past 400EX's, Raptor's and Z400's.

Welcome to the site koolaid,,yes it is a honda site but you'll find very useful info on all makes out here...

Well Rico.... looks like your next! All the older elite senior(citizens) members of this board are switching to c-dales guess youll have to step up to the plate.
j/k While us "punks" tool around on our slow poke fo hundreds. I think I am gonna stay with honda, even though I like the cdales I made a mistake once and dont plan on doing it again. For the price of a moto I can have 2 built 250Rs. Ride red.
I wish more people get faster things, gives me more of an incentive to beat them, and then they cant make up excuses when i beat them.
Posted by: Guy400
If you have the recipe for the ability to have 2 "built" R's for $12000 please tell me.
You're going to have $5000 in finding two junker R's that at least run. You're going to have another $3000 in long travel suspension to match the Moto. Well, that only leaves $4000 for 2 quads
Posted by: Evan
not get in a pissin match but what i meant was, you can go out and find built, race ready Rs for 5500-6000 dollars. Yes it would cost a little to build one from the ground up. Mine alone cost me 5k plus the price I payed for the R. But I wouldnt be able to get 6k out of it if I wanted to sell it. And I dont think those ohlins are the equivilant of long travel shocks, at least not in my book.
Posted by: Hey Koolaid
Guylt250, What mods are you planning? I am still breaking mine in so I have no mods either. Will a slip on make that big a difference? Should I get different mapping.

Koolaid, a pipe and remap will make a huge difference over stock. Seems like the Nac's map is the best out there right now. My first mods will probably be bars, axle and nerfs in that order. After that it's a-arms and shocks. I'm saving the motor for last.
