Here are some pictures of the gearcase split aprt with the gears that were bad compared to the new gears, the shiney part on the left rear 4 dogs are the primary cause, instead of them being nice sharp transitions from face to flat part they have a nice radius. Also repalce the gear that the dogs enge into since it is somewhat recessed in that area and the fork that has some hot spots on it and a slight bend.

i thought you had to use liquid gasket to seal the cases it looks to me like there is a gasket?

The only place I found liquid gasket was on the valve/rocker cover. Everything else used a gasket.

I did however use a very thin coat of RTV (since I could not find any anerobic sealants anywhere), many on surfaces that where a little scored from cleaning.

I got the kit from Magicracing for 39 bucks, came with everything, beats the 130 bucks for the OEM kit that comes in two sets.

Aye.. paper gaskets everywhere except the metal gasket at the head, and RTV on the head cover.
