I have a 87 250x kick start.The motor went bad.so I purchased a 300ex motor off of e-bay.Does anyone no if i have to change to make it all work?

u have to get a 300ex wireing harness starter thats bout it

You will probably need those as well along with the 300ex CDI(not sure on that one)

Also wanted to add that you'll need the 300ex reverse lever because the 250x one won't clear the starter...or you can do the reverse mod and use a foot shifter to shift to reverse.

yea, the ex motor came with a reverse lever on it
