how much does stock 400ex a-arms and tie rods widen a 300ex.

Posted by: 300maniac

like around 1,25 in or neraly 2 inches som were aroun there that would be a great investment

^ That's per side. It should be around 2.5-3" total.

do you need to change the brake lines?

Posted by: bwamos

No there's enough slack in the stock lines.

Posted by: 4door5g

what all do you need to do it?(sorry not trying to jack your thread)

The basics are all 4 a arms, longer tie rods, and then just put em on. But to get the full benifit you need 400ex spindles I think.

You need 400ex/450r/250r shocks and the relocator bracket too. Spindles don't have to be, but I would/did.

You dont technically need them, it just sits a little lower without them...but not very much

EDIT: Well, I guess you are right, the stock shocks would be really soft for lengthened a-arms and sitting lower isn't always the best in rocky terrain

You can find a couple different ones on ebay...just search for 300ex shock. I think hetrick sells them also.

i made my own shock mounts for the 400ex shocks. i went up 2" and out 1 1/2". with flat metal and it works great and is alot cheaper then the kit you can buy.
