On my 88 250x rear disc brake caliper, I changed the leaking seals
new pads, did the bleeding process, but still have a quarted inch gap between the disc & the outer pad.

I have some pedal pressure & the inner pad is hitting the disc & retracting back after I release the pedal.

I looks like I'm missing a spacer or something. I have a Clymers
book & it doesn't appear that I'm missing any parts.

Bad rear master cylinder maybe? What next?

No pix yet, work in progress.

The slides are the two bolts that hold the pads right?

I cleaned them up on my wire wheel, they were rust & are pitted.

Is it time to replace?
